George Caldwell

Based in Boston, George Caldwell is an experienced strategy consultant, with significant life sciences industry experience. He has over 20 years of pharmaceutical and medical device industry and consulting experience, with specialisation in early pipeline planning, forecasting, licensing due diligence, and strategic planning. George has broad therapeutic area experience, with a special interest and expertise in oncology.
Prior to becoming an associate of groupH, he was a strategic consultant with a number of leading US life sciences boutique consultancies including Trinity Partners, Wood Mackenzie, and Equinox Group. He began his career working in industry first in R&D roles with Centocor and Baxter and then later in marketing for Chiron. George received his BS degree in Biology / Microbiology from West Chester University and his MBA degree in Entrepreneurship from Babson College. He also has completed considerable graduate coursework in the life sciences at Harvard University.
George tries his best to balance his passion for both the clinical and business aspects of the industry with exercise, family time, and lots of outdoor activities. He particularly enjoys hiking with his wife, kids, and dogs, fishing, and snowboarding. George also spends some of his free time as a beekeeper and tending his flock of chickens. He also loves to travel with his family and recently enjoyed trips to the Galapagos Islands and the Middle East.
