Ken O’Flaherty

    Ken spent 17 years focused on marketing and upstream planning in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, including stints with Procter and Gamble, UCB Pharma, Serono Biotech, and Stryker, while leading partnerships with Aventis and Pfizer. In addition, Ken managed Market Research functions for over 8 years at 2 organizations and led Project Management for 2 years.
    He has had P&L responsibility for numerous product launches covering both primary care and specialty markets, including endocrinology, neurology, immunology, allergy, and orthopedics. He has experience in professional promotion as well as Direct to Patient (DTP), payer marketing, and Direct to Consumer (DTC) campaigns. He has led business development and provided commercial guidance to clinical development in a number of product franchises and technology platforms.

    Ken became a consultant in 2014, leading the US consulting operations for McCann Health. He has focused on early stage commercial planning, particularly in market access strategy and pre-launch development. He particularly enjoys primary market research and is an experienced moderator across a range of healthcare stakeholders from payers to patients. He has worked in a wide range of therapeutic areas from oncology and ultra-orphan diseases to optometry and dentistry.

    Ken is based near Boston, Massachusetts and enjoys spending time with his wife – who is a board-certified hospitalist – and two teenage children. Ken has a BA from English Yale University and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
