Mary Lee has nearly two decades experience supporting biopharmaceutical and diagnostic companies in creating effective strategies and communications to a variety of stakeholders. Curious and a natural storyteller, she is adept at synthesizing detail to develop a holistic view and deliver insight. Special areas of focus include product positioning and launch, brand and campaign development, and competitor analyses.
Mary Lee holds an AB and PhD from Stanford University. She conducted postdoctoral research at UCSF, followed by a 6-year stint in vaccine and drug discovery research at Chiron. Her work spans multiple therapeutic areas, with particular expertise in oncology, immunology, and genomics-based diagnostics. A long-standing stint as a regular contributor to Nature Biopharma Dealmakers allows her to stay up-to-date on emerging companies and products.
Outside of work, Mary Lee enjoys time with family and visiting far-flung friends. Leisure time activities include sunny walks outdoors, pilates, dance, reading, and exploring a new found interest in collage.
